No. We operate on a 100% W-2 employee driver model. All 400+ drivers are employees who are uniformed, with ID badges, company-branded vehicles, and background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and client-specific training.
This differs from most courier companies in the region, which rely on independent contractors using their personal vehicles.
Is Vital HIPAA compliant?
Yes. All Vital drivers complete HIPAA compliance training during onboarding. We also maintain chain-of-custody protocols, temperature-controlled transport capabilities, and barcode proof-of-delivery scanning for healthcare shipments.
